The citizen reporting and networking tool allows anyone to send field reports via mobile phone, web, or email to a web-based platform, which then maps incidents of peace and conflict. Ushahidi (which means "testimony" in Swahili) allows citizens and humanitarians to visualize a conflict that is only getting worse.
For more information about Ushahidi read about founder Ory Okolloh on worldpulse.com and visit www.drc.ushahidi.com.
