My Wonderful Experience on the World Pulse Site!

I have been a member of world pulse since 2015, so far I have 51 Stories and Resources posted, won 2 Story Awards, made more than 320 Comments on stories, sent more than 965 Love to community members and earned 4 Badges namely: Vocal Contributor, Encourager, Advanced Digital Changemaker and Featured Storyteller.

On this special day, my badges has increased to 5, the most recent is the Impact Leader Badge for World Pulse. I was very happy to learn that 6 selected Advanced Digital Changemakers 2017 cohort will received the Impact Leader Badge so as to have many women engaged in speeding up change in our communities.

Presently I am one of the 6 Featured Impact Leaders and I am rejoicing for this great achievement. I feel very blessed and honored to also be one of the 3 changemakers to receive further mentoring and a honorarium. It greatly motivates me to keep on working hard to see the change I desire in my community and the world at large.

Presently I have more than 110 followers and I’m following more than 235 persons on the World Pulse site and still counting. My 3 points of interest are Technology and innovation, Education and Girls.

Today, I celebrate the World Pulse team for this terrific impact in my work and for offering this unique opportunity to realize my dream project passionately. The fear of failure is gone and nothing is impossible.

The World Pulse leadership program has taught me how to become a powerful changemaker in my community. It has increased my courage to share my passion and vision for STEM with girls and women that will change the world.

Taking part in the Advanced Digital Changemaking (ADC) program organized by World Pulse helped me to connect deeply with my vision for change, especially with the assistance of my very amazing, dynamic and awesome vision mentor Ana Serra.

She was always available to guide and coach me. She kept me focused during the virtual training and followed me closely up to the execution of my campaign plan. Most special was when she had to adjust her schedule during the period internet black out in Bamenda. We actually braved that trial period together. I was my pleasure working with her and I remain forever thank full.

During the 3 months journey, I developed my skills needed to mobilize people and resources around my cause to carry out real changemaking actions in my community and also I improved my writing and communication skills. I as well developed new professional relationships and collaboration with likeminded women on the platform and around the world.

I have been able to expand my audience, mobilize supporters around my project which aims at bridging the gender tech divide by launching an online and offline digital action campaign (DAC) entitled“Brings Girl to STEM” which aims to digitally empower girls in STEM focusing on SDGs 4&5, also highlighting my hashtags #STEM4Girls and #Mentors4Change.

Right now I am executing my DAC plan which has brought a wave of joy and satisfaction especially because the response is terrific. I am so honored and humbled to receive another great package of support from World Pulse;the Impact Leader training which is ongoing.

Special thanks to Jensine Larsen, Maya Munoz- Tobon, Corine Milano, Katrina Lang, Bosayo Obisakin, Tamarack Varell, Stella Paul, Chi Yvonne, Jill Langhus-Griffin, Kimberly Crane, Lisa Anderson, Julie Zentarra, Tiffany Purn, all the trainers and many others for their kind contributions to build changemakers. I dance in delight with you. Even if some of you have ended your mandate with World Pulse, you will always be remembered for your job well done.

I am sincerely grateful for the work in empowering women around world with digital skills. I am a happy beneficiary who will multiply the effect by training and transforming thousands of women and girls and change their lives by offering trainingon digital skills. Now, I have many more success stories to share. My achievements have been numerous, from a start point of becoming more assertive to improving my self-esteem and making a remarkable change in Cameroon with my campaign that has touched thousands of girls and women.

I am also very delighted to have made new friends in the virtual class room. Reading your stories and projects kept me high. Listening to your sweet voices broadened my scope of thinking. I was sad when I could not hear you on some days due to internet access challenges. But it as well kept me eager for the next call.

Dear ADC Alumnae, please continue to stay active in your communities. Generate new ideas and remain motivated to make the world a better place. Whether it is raising awareness, sharing knowledge, or taking action, there are many ways you can use the tools and resources at your disposal to improve your communities.
