Hello to All !

Technology for me is a lifeline, a crucial communication-facilitator and a way to feel embraced from a distance, no matter how far!

Technology empowers me to reach more people with messages of Listening, self-care and animal advocacy.

My next technological step forward may be to offer an online course.

Anyone else out there with thoughts on what Hummingbird, Greengirl and I have posted here?

       With Support,

        Sarah

What does technology mean to you?

For me, it's been my pathway to a career I never dreamed of before, to people and organizations and causes and ideas I would never have known about otherwise, and to information about things I love to do offline (music, hiking, camping, etc.), as well as a way to reconnect and stay connected with people I love who are physically far from me.

How do you access technology? What challenges you face

I first began accessing the Internet via a desktop computer. Then a laptop computer. And now I do via both a laptop and a very cheap Android phone. I have had the luxury to be able to access the Internet via my own devices. But I face challenges as I get older. I feel like tech tools are being designed for people with perfect eyesight and rapid Internet connections and the latest, most expensive tools.

In what way being technologically empowered helped you? (personal life - empowering community - economy - solutions for urging problems?)

I feel like it has gotten me farther professionally than I would have gone without it. It has also helped me make very personal connections with people very different than myself that I'm not sure I would have gotten to meet face-to-face otherwise.
