WHAT’S YOUR GOAL FOR THE TRAINING?

My goal for this training will be to bring together small business women for ideas and means of improving their businesses and lives. I want to train them on the power of networking, so as they know that women who stick together achieve a lot. I want to add Digital Campaign including Digital Access ( where they can share how much access to the digital world do they know), Digital Knowledge( Teach them the importance of using technology like cellphones and internet for their businesses) and Digital Empowerment (Show how they can apply their digital knowledge to their businesses,  like buying their stock online instead of walking to the shops, using cellphone banking and learning about different business platforms which are on social media.

 

WHAT WILL THE PARTICIPANTS GAIN?

The participants will gain knowledge about different empowerment modes they can use in order to improve their lives and their businesses. They will also gain the family of women who will now be acting as a community helping each other through support and encouragement. My participants will also have a clear understanding of how the use of mobile phones and internet can benefit their businesses and their lives.

WHAT WILL THE COMMUNITY OUTCOME BE?

The community outcome will be empowered women who in return will be in a position to make positive changes in the community and their homes. With the confidence and boosted self-esteem they will be mothers, business-woman and game changers of their different  industries.

WHAT PARTS OF THE TRAINER’S TOOLKIT WILL YOU USE?

I will use the SIGN-IN SHEET AND FEEDBACK FORM from the Trainer’s Toolkit.

HOW WILLYOU ADAPT THE TRAINING IN YOUR OWN LANGUAGE, CULTURE AND LOCAL NEEDS?

I will prepare the training in English but will translate it to my Tswana language before the presentation. I will also check with my participants how they will like to receive the training, whether in English or Tswana. My culture and local needs are in awareness of training and I believe this group of women will adapt very easily.

WHAT RESOURCES WILL YOU NEED TO CONDUCT THIS TRAINING?

I will need an open room with chairs and tables, Note pads and pens, Flip Chart and Flip Chart Board, Internet Modem, Permanent Markers, Refreshments.

DO YOU HAVE THESE RESOURCES?

I have the open room with chairs and tables. I don’t have the rest.

IF NOT, HOW CAN YOU GET THEM?

I will donate the note pads, pens, Permanent markers and Refreshments. As for the modem I will use my smart phone as an access to the internet, because it has a tethering option which allows me to connect several devices to it. Then I will borrow the Flip Chart and Flip Board from my friends.

ANY SAFETY CONCERNS?

As we will be doing these during the day in a secure area there are no safety measures that I would anticipate.

Your training plan sounds like a great idea! I really like how it focuses on congregating small business women to improve their businesses and lives. I also liked how you touched upon the specific resources that would be needed, as well the alternative methods you would take in order to help trainees adapt (i.e. use of various languages). It sounds like you have given this kind of training a lot of thought.  I like the idea of how the participants will gain a network of women to support each other just by going to the training.  Good luck in implementing your plan!
