WHAT IS THE MAIN GOAL OF YOUR DIGITAL ACTION CAMPAIGN (DAC)?

The main goal of my digital campaign is to advance economic empowerment of women through training in social media marketing to reach a bigger market.

WHO IS THE AUDIENCE FOR YOUR DAC?

If it was just possible to shout that my audience is ‘everyone’ i would, because I want the impact of my campaign to reach all four corners of the world.

However, it is important that I narrow down my audience and the people i am targeting firstly are the advocates for women empowerment, then stakeholders who deal with small holder farming and entrepreneurs, buyers and marketers.

In the end i want everyone to make a contribution to my campaign, to buy one handmade craft that will benefit these women most of whom are either HIV positive, domestic violence survivors and mothers of disabled children who are economically disadvantaged.

WHAT ARE SOME ACTIONS WOULD YOU WANT YOUR AUDIENCE TO TAKE?

I want my audience to open online shops on their own, to have facebook pages, online databases, connecting with stakeholders from different countries.

I want these women to be economically liberated and be able to negotiate  their rights ,sexually rights among other social ills.

Sympathy, I enjoyed reading your proposal. I think that it would benefit from you including a few more concrete details as to how specifically you will enact it. But you have already taken care of the most important part: showing people you care, and why they should too.

Lady Dynamite,

I loved reading that you want the audience of your campaign to be everyone. One of the exciting things about digital media is that we can get much closer to reaching all four corners of the world than ever before! I think it will be possible for you to reach such a large audience, especially with some of your new digital skills. I like that you have thought about what you want your target audience to do to become economically empowered (online shops, Facebook pages, etc.) as well as what others who may already be economically empowered can do to support your campaign (buying handmaid goods). It is okay to have more than one audience, and to want them to participate through different actions (such as your main beneficiaries, local supporters, and global supporters), and to recognize that you do need people to play different roles in your campaign. Having clear actions that your audience can take to participate will help draw people in - wanting people to buy one handmaid good is a great example of this, as it is a simple and clear way to support your campaign.

Have you thought about how you could use digital media (and World Pulse's website) to increase awareness about your campaign? It seems like some of your digital skills could have a great impact on your campaign.

Your main purpose of your campaign is clearly articulated and will be very impactful. I look forward to seeing your final digital action campaign!

Best,

Stephanie
