Education for the grassroots Children, poverty eradication strategy for Africa

How can I get these voices heard and support emerged?
In the rural communities of Uganda, eight out of ten girls who enroll for primary school fail to make it to the final year, let alone pass their leaving exams and continue their education. In Kenya the ratio is two out of five.
The reasons include the following: No proper infrastructure (classrooms), they study under the tree, under grass thatched huts. When the sun is too hot or in a rainy season, they suffer shelter, they sit on the dusty/mady floor because they do not have desks. They do not have latrines (what you call toilets), in cases where there is a latrine, it is shared by the teachers and pupils both males and female go to the same \"place of convenience\" poor hygiene is alarming. These pupils walk long distances to the \"nearest\" schools. They do not eat anything at school, because there is no feeding programmes. The girls do not know what sanitary towels are!, they wear rugs and shy-up being at school in their \"unfortunate\" days. The pupils can not afford books because their parents are poor, lack of curriculum materials like textbooks, maps,lack of extra curricular and sporting equipments, trading off of the girl child at an early age for bride wealth, child labor where these children are forced by their parents to absent themselves from school in order to work in the farms, take care of their siblings and do house work, these and many more are the problems of the grassroots young stars.

The question is: Should education remain for the rich? Those in the urban centers? Those born lucky?
The grassroots Children and communities need support, our support, they are Children (ages 4 to 17), and their mothers and fathers most of whom have not attended formal education, do not have jobs and survive on less than $1 a day yet they can be trained to start income generating activities.
Generations have come and have gone, Africa is not developing, the richer are getting richer, the poor poorer there is a huge gap between. Shall we have continuous early marriages, poverty circle, domestic violence, prostitution, theft forever?

Build Africa is here to answer these questions practically, involving communities, parents, teachers and pupils in the progressive development of schools and performances. Build Africa is currently working with 42 Ugandan and 20 Kenyan schools in construction of their infrastructures, training school management committees on School Development Plans, training teachers, training communities on savings and loaning schemes, Mainstreaming HIV/AIDS, gender related issues in the grassroots communities and schools, providing extra curricular and sporting equipments, tracking abuse of vulnerable children, promotion of child protection among others, - bringing practical help to remote areas of Uganda and Kenya and affecting the lives of thousands of children, helping young people escape poverty through education, improving the livelihood of young people, their parents and communities through promotion of income generating activities, savings and loaning schemes.

Build Africa is looking into expanding throughout Africa soon given the resources required our vision is for every young person in Africa to fulfill their potential and to make a difference to their community.
