Introducing myself and my journal

About Me:
I was born in Swat a place often referred to as the Switzerland of Asia because of its tranquility and natural beauty.

I completed Master degree in journalism and Mass Communication from University of Peshawar Pakistan. Since 2005, I have working with national and international renowned Broadcasting organizations; like INTERNEWS and PACT Radio. During professional life, I worked in different areas of Radio Journalism including crises reporting, production and radio trainer. I tried to highlight the socio-economic, cultural and historical issues in Swat. In November 2008, Deautsche Welle recognized my work and invited me to participate in a workshop and exhibition on the Budhist kingdom of Gandhara, in Bonn Germany. Currently I am working with PACT Radio (Pak Afghan Cross border Transmission) as Station Manager/Zonal Coordinator. I am responsible to lead live radio staff including 10 producers and 21 reporters in the target areas. I am supervising daily editorial meeting among Pakistan and Afghanistan offices to ensure organization policy and program quality. Pact Radio is broadcasting eight hours daily Pashto transmission from cross border areas, that’s why I am fully aware about cross border issues.

The establishment of FM radio station in militant controlled area of Swat is one of my professional achievements at the peak of Swat insurgency in order to counter militant radios propaganda.

My Areas of Expertise:
