Introducing myself and my journal: A journey into volunteering

About Me:
I am a young graduate from NYU (international Relations MA), I also hold a MA in Conflict Analysis and Peacebuilding from the Political Sciences Institute of Lille (France). I have been living in the US for the past 3 years (alternating between DC and NY).
I was born in the US and my family is from France. I grew up in Europe and have been educated in three different cultures.
I have a keen interest in working for development and peace, natural resources management, improvement of institutions and governance, the promotion of human rights for vulnerable segments of societies (children, youth, women, elderly) and communities. I have worked and researched on African politics and history but would like to develop my knowledge further and understand the myriad and richness of the African continent's cultures and people. Of course, I am not excluding any other parts of the world, as I have an insatiable wanderlust, which I hope to satisfy throughout my life and professional experiences. So, I love to travel, draw and do amateur photography. I jog to compensate for my smoking :) and cherish spending time with family, friends and new faces to talk about almost anything.
I want to contribute to World Pulse's mission by volunteering my language skills, while learning from others in the community. Thanks for accepting me and happy 2014 to everyone.
