' Garuda PurANam ' : BAHAVAAPADAM - Ninth Stage place named Bahavaapadam is located on the southern bank of River Vytharani. Having crossed the River either by boat or wading through, JeevAathma stops over here on 210 th day after demise and receives offerings of food & water offered by family and continues journey southward nonstop for another 30 days to stop over at DUKHADAM (10 th stage ) on 240 th day and so on southward to NANAKRANDANAM ( 11 th stage ) on 270 th day , to SUTHAPTHA BHAVANAM ( 12 th stage ) on 300 th day , to RAUDRAM ( 13 th stage ) on 330 th day , then a fifteen day journey to PAYO VARSHANAM ( 14 th stage ) on 345 th day - this is one more important place where a special offering is done honoring Pandits and feeding of guests - This Ritual is known as NYOONA AABDEEKAM ( Nyoona = 345 ) . Through out the arduous journey of thousands of miles Aathma regrets for IT's dos and don'ts while alive and feels sorry for missed opportunities and feels IT could have been content, honest , compassionate to fellow humans and Cows , should have been an ardent follower of tenets of Sanaathana Dharma in thought , in word , and in deed and now it is too late and let it be a lesson for a future life. So the journey now picks up in speed as First Anniversary is nearing and JeevAathma goes through quickly through Very Bitterly Cold Freezing Place SEETHAADDYAM - now it is one year since leaving Mother Earth - Day One of Three Day Annual Ceremony = Sanaathana Dharma Vedic Ritual of SAMVATSAREEKAM ( Samvatsara = Year ) ; Day Two is Thath Dinam = That Day (of Death) also referred to as Aabdeekam , on this day Aathma is at A Place of Dread - BAHU BHEETHI = extreme fear ; Until this Stage JeevAathma is Hastha Pramaana ( Hand Size ) as originally mentioned - Please remember immediately after demise and up to 13 Days JeevAathma is of the size of THUMB ( Angushtta ) and from 13 th day to 365 th Day during journey from Earth To Yamapuri, JeevAaathma acquires the size of A Hand ( Hastha Pramaana ) and now reverts back to Vaayu Roopa Angushtta Pramaana ( Air Form Thumb Size ) and awaits at the South Gate Of YAMAPURAM ( Samyamanam ) on Day Three Of Samvatsareekam ( First Anniversary = Pratthama Vardhanthi - so we await along with JeevAathma near South Gate of Yamapuri - -
