Betancourt Rescued in Colombia

I just learned (via World Pulse's In The News feed) that French-Colombian politician Ingrid Betancourt has been freed! Along with her rescue -- after being held captive for over six years by the Columbian rebel group, FARC -- fourteen others were also freed.

World Pulse has been following Betancourt since our first issue, Transcending Borders, and it brings me great joy to learn that she has regained the freedom that never should have been taken from her. FARC is still holding over 40 hostages, however; let us hope and wish that they will be freed soon as well.
