WOMEN ARE NOT THE PUPPETS
TO DANCE AT THE SOUND OF TRUMPETS
THEY ARE NOT THE WARES
EXHIBITED BEAUTIFULLY AT FARES
THEY ARE THE PURER SOULS
WHOSE PHYSICAL BEAUTY CAN'T BE YOUR GOALS

In Nepal Living goddess Kumari and worshiping other goddess like Bhagabati,Ajima ,Saraswati, Laxmi and other Female goddess are the symbol of women s power and it is prepared for the the lesson to be toughen to the society about it. Because the Kumari ,Bhagabati are the powerful goddess , Bhagabati concur-ed the war by her power when the many god could not success.Laxmi is goddess of wealth and Saraswati is for Education ,Knowledge and skill development . But society is male dominant and because of gender bios the women are still facing many problem . In this condition we women our self must adopt the developmental step rather than than the beauty ,fashion, only to be the prince of husband .so as mentioned by Ms Pokhrel we must to be knowledgeable and contribute to the social change and must try to be modern Saraswati,Laxmivand Durga.

This is splendid. This is similar to Igbo symbol of womanism. The earth is regarded as a woman so its referred to as the mother earth, which is very fertile, it is from where food are produced for the whole people of the world.

Sexual and Reproductive Rights of Women is progress to the Nation

Hi, I Love the poem how true. In the native american culture there are symbols and the one that I identify with is the wolf. this symbol is about protection and vigilance and about community. the wolf will protect and take care of others than it own. it is hypervigilent and protective. another symbol is the bear for strenght and courage. each animal is about a message. people can be the same. they can be a symbol with a message.

Hi all,

The story is similar everywhere. In all traditional groups in Nigeria, the earth is referred to as 'mother' and farmers rely on it for fertility and production. In Colombia, the Wayun indigenous people owe their existence to wayunkerra, the goddess. In 1700 England and 1950 France, stories abound of mother goddesses, among the indigenous people of Canada, there exist similar stories. Globally women are a force to reckon with in existence, production, wealth, education, religion, health, healing, etc. Yet same societies relegate women and most times associate evil such as plague, withcraft, impurity and sexuality related sins to women. I begin to wonder the contradiction. I think women should always stand for positivity all the times. We should stand up to say 'NO' to being used as puppets, no to being wares exhibited at fares, no to being objects of satisfaction to men. No to unpleasant situation and unpleasant things!

i loved all those remarks but one thing that always pinches me is that the main enemy of women is not men but women themselves! A daughter in law is tortured by mother-in law, sister-in laws! we shout for our equality but we fight within ourselves! If we unite, males can do nothing!

Anisha Pokharel

You're right sisters, but yourself as you make this finding is real: the enemy of woman is the woman! Here at home, there is even a saying that says "women do not build a nation!" Why? I attended in 2006 at the presidential elections in DRC. If I remember correctly, there were about four slaughterhouses to women candidates. But it was sad that despite their projects certainly not least, were still other women who said loud and clear that they would never give their votes to a woman !

I know and am sure of one thing, men use, and chosifient instrumentalize women precisely because they understood that the majority of women, they are together, stab!

So the woman to say no to all this manipulation and to enforce, by showing that it can do better than dancing to the sound of trumpets of any kind! Ansupokharel said, unity is strength, and by uniting, women have the strength and ability to break the established myths

Dear friend/s

Yes, women do act like enemies of other women. But lets be fair to them and try to understand why they do it. Its not because they are born with that hatred gene, but simply because they are a victim of the age-old mind game where its told that only men have the power to change, power to decide.Lets reach out and show by example that women can indeed bring change.

Meanwhile, keep writing!
