Introducing myself and my journal: "Rio20" - •Women’s land tenure, property rights, and control over natural resources

About Me:
I am a young Nigerian woman from the Niger Delta area of Nigeria. I would like to describe myself as a woman who wants to do what she can to better the lot of women in the world especially women in the Niger Delta area of Nigeria who are relegated to the background and are told that 'they ought to be seen and not heard'. Militancy in the Niger Delta area of Nigeria has not made life for women in this region an easy one. Women in this region are highly affected with low literacy, and the violence against women is on the increase.
This among other factors have made me decide to advocate and speak for myself.

My Passions:
Reading, writing, photography, swimming, and cooking

My Vision for the Future:
A world where women can fully participate in political, democratic and economic development of their societies without ant barrier.

My Areas of Expertise:
Conflict Analysis, Gender Advocacy, Mediation and conflict management, research and data analysis
