One girl’s contribution towards her country’s development.

In my opinion girls and women need achievable developments which can quickly be realised;
something which has been very well demonstrated in the recorded increase in primary school enrolment. We don’t need actions that are purely symbolic. Even if education is an essential starting point, it is also, simply the first obstacle in a course strewn with pitfalls. If we want to reduce the wage gap between men and women and increase women’s independence in Africa, this continent needs it’s girls to be educated so that they can promote women’s rights. With this, women need to have essential ideas to inspire other women. In addition, they must fight against judgments based solely on gender, and to put an end to female vagrancy. And what is less recognised, is that women are suppressed by all the jobs being given to men, which demonstrates the lack of development in this country.

Sophie
