Joining Hands Together – BENEFITS OF INTERNET : Power to Raise Voice through Web

Child Trafficking, Prostitution & Domestic Violence issues exist since long time and every person is aware about it but no one dares to speak about it.. Our Journey of Jagriti Started but we wanted womens accross the community to come to support our campaign "Orange Your World" to take a step to say no to the issues accross us but How?
We looked up for a sponosor to show a realistic movie named "LAXMI" about a girl who was forcefully pushed into prostitution and was part of child trafficking & dealt with harsh reality facing domestic violence which cannot be seen or felt by anyone. But we dared to take a step to do a free movie screening to create awareness in the society to bring people together to say No against the issues across, But the challenge was HOW ?
This was a show by a women for women! So we needed womens to connect. But it was a huge challenge!
I called upon the female members of PraveenLata Sansthan to discuss how to move about the campaign, and all were worried they had to move across from one place to another to gather womens for the campaign! But suddenly a idea came across “INTERNET” and I remembered my old days how I learnt using web and computers. I briefed all the members stating to use interent and facebook to identify women associations/school teachers/working womens in corporates, but again it was a challenge how to connect as our members did not how to use internet. Taking a stand I got data pack activated on their mobiles and got datadongle for our organization to teach the members how to use internet and within a short span of time all my members were connected to facebook and started searching on google and we got the list of organizations who really wished to be part of this campaign. We invited around 300 womens through mails, facebook & chatting on web to join our campaign out of which 225 womens joined us on the day to support us. This was the impact we as members felt proud and today our members are connected together through web including our vicepresident Mrs.Bimla Paliwal who is 68 years old retd principal is learning to be part of web and aims to weave the web for all the girls and women accross the community!
Every Small Step Makes a Big Difference and we have taken our Step!
