New features and services on PulseWire!

Dear PulseWire Family,

We are back with a few exciting community updates! We’ve been working hard to develop new features for the PulseWire platform that address common needs and challenges.

New Features
In Sharing Solutions, there are two new resources produced by World Pulse. Check them out and share your own best practices with the community!

  1. The PulseWire team has developed a toolkit to help explain how tags work and how you can utilize tags to increase traffic to your journals. Access our detailed guide to what tags are, how to use them, and a list of suggested tags and resources: http://www.worldpulse.com/pulsewire/solutions/43641

  2. We recognize that funding is a common challenge in the global women's movement, and for many of you, one of the biggest obstacles preventing you and your organizations from achieving your goals. With limited resources, your capability is limited as well. In an effort to make the fundraising process easier for you, we have developed a Guide to Fundraising, complete with tips and resources: http://www.worldpulse.com/pulsewire/solutions/41528

New Recommend Feature: On each post, underneath the author’s profile picture, you will see a button called “Recommend”. This is a tool for you to show your appreciation of the posts you find particularly interesting, moving, inspirint, and informative. Support your fellow vocal PulseWire members and recommend their posts!

Don’t forget about these helpful services on PulseWire

Google Translate: PulseWire is committed to offering top translation applications as they become available to support community members who are not fluent in English, and to encourage participating in your native language. Google Translate provides an approximate translation in the most popular languages. You'll find the translate feature located on the top of every page, in the middle. Click the drop down menu to select your language of preference.

PulseWire Community-University Connection: Are you involved in a project or organization that is developing innovative solutions to problems in your community? Are you facing a difficult challenge in your work, or a barrier that is preventing you from taking the next step in realizing your vision? Would it be helpful to have a team of students from a top technical university volunteering with you to develop solutions to this problem? If your answer is “yes” to these questions, join the “PulseWire Community-University Connection” and post a proposal to get a volunteer to help address your challenges! http://www.worldpulse.com/pulsewire/groups/33709

Additional note about the PulseWire Lounge: Please remember that the purpose of the PulseWire Lounge is for World Pulse staff to update the community on opportunities and services available on the online platform. Please use the many other targeted sections of the PulseWire website to share your own posts.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the PulseWire team.

Thank you and have a wonderful day!
