"VOF Week 4:( The big picture)"

Can you believe that four weeks are already over? When I begun this journey, I did not know that I would come this far. But thank goodness for being a woman because we persevere to the end. We face all sorts of challenges in our lives but always believe something good will come out at the end.

What a long Easter vacation. I am very lucky because Kenya sees the sun earlier than Honolulu and so I still have some few minutes to complete this assignment. Patience is one of the greatest attributes that we women hold and I still believe that my dreams will come to pass sooner than I anticipated.

I have lived all my life looking forward to the day I will run a project that taps on talents of young girls and women who have nowhere to run and remould them to be the people God purposed them to be. Most of the time I give a hand in other peoples' projects but I want to come up with one of my own. The group am targetting are the ladies (especially the young ones) who have been abused either emotionally or physically and have given up hope of ever making something of themselves. I want to let them know that there is still hope. Our negatives can be turned into positives if we are willing to try. I have seen this happen in my life and so believe strongly that it can also be much better for many of us.This will be a creative centre that will link this ladies with others across the globe who have been able to overcome their challenges. They will act like mentors for them.

Ever since joining VOF, I have felt my dreams which were lying in the tomb reawakening again. Reading and commenting on other peoples stories has been really inspiring. Its a great joy to see a big smile appear on someone's face who wanted to give up completely in life. World Pulse has expanded my networks to a level that is unimaginable. We can share thoughts with others who are several miles away and get feedback. This makes me know that there are other women looking out for me. Since one of my hobbies is travelling, this has been made possible through the stories told from all continents. Its made the world so small and made me realise that women have so much in common no matter where you are positioned. We can either be our \"worst enemies\" or \"greatest pals\". This a choice we each got to make.I believe World Pulse is bringing women together so that we can have a positive impact on our society.

A vision shared is a vision developed. As I share mine, I also want to be the catalyst in making others share theirs. Together we can make a big difference in the lifes of many. We are one big family who depend on one another. I still need all of you to make my dream and for many others come to pass. Thank you for the wonderful opportunity and whatever your decision, will take it.
