The International Girls in ICT Day is being commemorated every last Thursday of April every year since 2011.

As mentioned on the Girls In ICT Website, :

The Girls in ICT initiative of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is a global effort to raise awareness on empowering and encouraging girls and young women to consider studies and careers in Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). The initiative is committed to celebrate and commemorate the International Girls in ICT Day on the fourth Thursday of every April as established by the ITU membership.

Many events have taken place around the world and you can view them all through the website.

If you wish to organise an event in your area, then there is a section for you to register as an organiser and on the website you can find many resources and links that can assist you in your event.

The site is also full of information to increase your knowledge and to see the great things and meet virtually and learn about some of the 'Women in ICT'.

World Pulse Website is also a great site that can be incorporated into the GirlsInICT Day events.
