Ever Evolving

There is an impulse asserting itself in the world right now and it has swept me up. This impulse- it’s our greatness, inviting us to wake up and become greater; it’s an urge to activate something unknown within us, and to evolve the world. We feel it as the unyielding desire to discover our essential life purpose and make a meaningful contribution to this world.

But no one ever promised that working with intangibles like the voice of intuition or the whispers of your life was going to be easy. It’s a process. A process that is teaching me to be vulnerable, to be brave, to surrender and to practice patience.

In my last journal, I wrote about meeting Subhadra here on PulseWire. Subhadra and I collaborated on the idea to connect the women of our communities. This collaboration has been a great gift because it’s shining a spotlight on where my unique gifts are. This is HUGE! Because when I know where my power is, I know best how to contribute.

The idea was for my community to sponsor a reproductive health camp for the women in the slums of Indore, India. Then the news came from Subhadra that she has decided to secure funds from local agencies in India. So…though it didn’t quite “work out” the way I’d envisioned, I’m learning to look beyond my expectations. Despite it looking differently, it’s clear to me now that movement has been created. I’ve brought awareness to the women in my community of global issues, particularly maternal & reproductive health, and we’ve inspired Subhadra to move forth in her idea to bring the camps to the women of her city.

I’ve learned that I am the spark, the catalyst. I’ve learned that it’s vital for me to continue to nurture ideas like little fires I’m carrying around, careful not to let them burn out. It’s vital for me and for the world- for me in being the greatest me, and for making the world a greater place to live and be.
