History of Bollywood

I am auditing a course on the History of Bollywood at Concordia University, Montreal. It is being taught by Dipti Gupta. Friday mornings at the Visual Arts Building on Rene Levesque. So far, we have watched SHOLAY (a curry western), OMKARA (Indian Othello), BOMBAY and LAAGE RAHO MUNNABHAI (about Mahatama Gandhi). Dipti gives us a detailed background on the Director, the actors and an historical perspective on the film plus any personal observations, which I enjoy. The feedback from students is enlightening as well. The course is helping me view films in a different light and not just Bollywood movies.
