Love and Safe Sex for Africa too

I recently met a young woman, Talia Frenkel, who was inspired to start a non-profit to help make a difference in some of the countries in Africa that have been hardest hit by HIV AIDS. What I found most interesting was her concept - her organization is called Love begins with L.com. --www.lovebeginswithl.com. It's about safe sex - Every sale of a condom here in the US, means a free condom for a woman in one of the three most needy countries in Africa. This non-profit organization empowers women by providing them with free condoms and sexual education, and the option to protect themselves. It seems like a small thing to those of us who feel we're in charge of our bodies, but it is a very big deal for women who are aren't used to having that power. I am proud to know her - and proud fo help. Her courage to bring this issue to the forefront is encouraging - and shows us that sometimes a small thing -- a small change in behavior, can make a big difference.
