Communication saves situations

It was a bright and beautiful morning when a lady came to social affairs with her bags packed and her 3year old daughter. She kept the bags by the road opposite social affairs and came with her daughter to see the chief of centre for social affairs and the lady who was interested to buy her child. Unfortunately for her they had not come yet so she had to wait for their arrival. The delegate of social affairs came out of his office to see his secretary but upon seeing this lady he was so amazed that he called her to find out her mission there. She burst into tears when she was explaining her sad situation to him. She said she can't take care of the baby anymore and she has no one to help her. The father of her baby had abandoned her to herself when she got pregnant and gave her only 40,000frs which the delegate had compelled him to give her when she complained of being neglected and since then he hasn't supported and her only sister who could be of help to her and accomodate her couldn't do so for long because her husband does not like people invading their privacy so she had to leave the house. She was later accommodated by another lady who gave her a room in her house to stay but after a while she packed her bags because according to her she doesn't know when the lady will ask her to leave so she just had to go even though she didn't know where she was going to. She came to social affairs to sell her 3year old daughter so that she could use the use to start a new life.

The delegate was so disappointed upon hearing this and asked her why she didn't come there all those years and waited for the last minute. She was so frustrated that she didn't even know what to say.

Those of us who were doing internship there had a word with her and advised that no matter the situation she should not sell her baby and that it was illegal to sell her baby without going through legal procedures of adoption and that no matter the suffering selling her baby was an option... She cried bitterly while trying to make us understand what she was passing through.

The delegate then came out and proposed to her an orphanage that was willing to take her child and offer her scholarship through school and she will be chanced to see her baby when save wanted to. She accepted the offer and the delegate asked her what she could do and she said hair dressing so he was hoping to look a place where she that direction. When they got to the orphanage, she was lucky enough to get a job as a cook and also take care of her daughter too.
