In 2008, Our organization (First Step Initiative) will embark on a five year plan to reach and provide micro-financing opportunities to at least 11,000 hopeful entrepreneurs (women) in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. I know this is an ambitious goal, but one that I truly believe we can achieve if we join forces. Fighting global poverty is certainly a task that none of us can do alone. So, I hope that some of you will join us in this effort to empower women in the Congo.

Our organization is looking for fundraising support and also looking for individuals who might be interested in becoming spokespersons for our cause in the DRC. We do have a long list but I just want add one more thing that we are also looking for equipments to help us build our infrastructure to support the day-to-day operation in the DRC. So, if you know anyone or a company that can donate laptops (4), printers, a digital camera or printing services, please let me know. Thank you very much for your response Rebecca. I really appreciate it.

I hope that with your interest in global peace and passion in women's issues, you will join us in our efforts to empower women in developing world, so that they too can create their own destinies and achieve their full potential. I am extending my invitation to you Julie, and I hope that you will join me in this effort to advance microfinance in the DRC. Thank you for your response and I look forward to hearing from you.
