This is a paper I wrote for my class women, gender & race in the media. The paper is in part a response to Ariel Levy's book Female Chauvanist Pigs: Women & the Rise of Raunch Culture. It takes a in-depth look at the film Mean Girls & analyzes its effects in the larger context of Raunch Culture & the socialization of girls.
