Announcing the Three Awardees—Plus another opportunity!

Thank you to all who submitted their stories for consideration! We're thrilled with all of the submissions!

We asked you to share your own, personal stories and you answered with beautiful and courageous submissions, interpreting Land in ways that pushed beyond our imaginations—from property rights to subsistence, from displacement of peoples to journeys of the soul, your powerful narratives moved us.

After a careful evaluation process, we have selected our top three submissions, who will receive publication and a $100 honorarium. Congratulations to Anais Tuepker, Drita Bajrami, and Dy!

Several more stories will also be published in the magazine. We'll announce those closer to our publication date, in early 2010. Thank you again to everyone who participated, and remember that My Story will continue to be a semi-annual program on PulseWire to coincide with our twice-yearly print magazines.

I also want to remind everyone that we are always searching PulseWire for stories to publish in our magazine, and on our website. I encourage each of you to use your journal as a way to be heard. Your stories have the opportunity to be published, but don't worry—we'll always ask first!

Another Opportunity

We're pleased to announce another opportunity to have your stories published in World Pulse's next magazine edition. In the next print edition, themed \"Earth,\" we're exploring the impact of environmental degradation on women across the globe, as well as the solutions women are developing in response to increasing devastation.

The editorial team is turning to the PulseWire community—our newswire—to listen to the stories of women on the ground who have been impacted by water, oil, mining, or clearcutting.
