Congo TV station closed by officials

This is a recent update from the Eastern Congo Initiative via Facebook. The article highlights the closing of a Congolese TV station owned by Roger Lumbala, an allie in the movement for the liberation of the DRC. Opponents of the closing believe that it is unconstitutional, and violates human rights and freedom of speech. Perhaps the closing comes from President Kabila's nervousness about this Fall's election. ECI posted that this closing was, "A bad sign for supporters of a free and fair election in DRC".
