Introducing myself and my journal: Clergy, counselor, encourager and awareness heightener!!

About Me:
For more than twenty-five years I've had the privilege of conducting training (in communications, public speaking, and relationships) around the globe. My background in counseling, hospital chaplaincy and cross-cultural studies has opened a world of need to me. In addition to training, I've been involved in building of homes in South Africa, associated with Project Tariro in Zimbabwe (supporting a clinic for those infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS), home rebuilding in Mississippi after Hurricane Katrina. I'm interested in getting "Support a Nurse" programs started in the poorest areas of South Africa and hope to engender support with one-on-one commitment to young women interested in furthering the education. As a clergy woman with the United Methodist Church, I'm eager to work with others who want to impact the world for the better!

My Passions:
Working with the underprivileged to provide education

My Challenges:
Breaking through the blind-sightedness of so many to the needs of those less fortunate

My Vision for the Future:
Nurses being trained in South Africa

My Areas of Expertise:
Counseling, training, group facilitation
