Current The International Woman magazine Issue bringing to light the plight of undocumented women immigrants in Sweden

My magazine The International Women has this week cast a light on the issues affecting undocumented immigrant women who have chosen to remain in Sweden.

In this issue, we follow the story of *Rhonda who has been living Sweden as an undocumented immigrant for 7 years. The article brings to light the issues that particularlywomen face when in that kind of extremely vulnerable situation where challenges like sexual violence come into focus.

It is a sombre read which is in line with my vision of bringing to the fore voices of marginalised women. In Sweden, it is extremely difficult to live in that country without documentation.

I am hoping that the article will create a conversation around the immigration issue as politicians and other influential people have been commenting on the story expressing their sympathy. This article could catalyse a discussionwhich could bring about real change to policies.
