Am a food processor from Nigeria, l lived in a small village , processing food that is good for the body, my challenge was how to market my products to customers and distributors, my turnover was below my expenditures, unsold stocks was everywhere, l got so worried and frustrated. l was invited to a workshop were ICT was one of the topic, online marking was handle , we where shown how to register and market our products online even with are phones," whoo my joy was unspeakable", l was always afraid of going to the cyber for my online business because men and boys always filled the cyber. Thanks to internet my turnover is now great , I met so many buyers, customers, distributors ,bulk agents , companies the need my products , most time l can't meet demands.This lead me to so many sites that connect me to the world, l make new friends, my life has change as a result of internet knowledge. l personally believe that there are still young girls and women that are facing the same fears l had over going to public cyber to do online business, most of them get frustrated and give up online issues.There is a believe that cyber and internet are meant for irresponsible and corrupt men and boys, poor access to network posed another setback for the women, we move to town so as to access network, all these discouraged the women from internet. lf cyber with good network are built in our communities, phones that can access network are made available for the women , equip the offices of the trainers with internet and laptops where training, advocacy, talk-shows, workshop on how life, business, health, environment, governance, and the world can be change through internet are shown to the women, specially the girl child , they will embrace it.
