2010 voices of our future Applicants/how i got to know this Web

I was introduced to Pulse wire by feed blitze,and since that day i have enjoyed the togetherness and a free expression,who could accept me with this welcoming atmosphere?It took me so many months to get a web-site where i could fit into with my widows and orphans self help project.Here i am talking of a marginalized community with no access to education and now declared a poverty zone.Here you get all sorts of abusive behaviours due to lack of exposure.Today we have hope of moving forward with our sisters Internationaly.I have borrowed so many ideas by reading from our members in Voices rising.
My project was registered in the year 2009 after the post election violence,so many of my community died and what hurts our thinking is why were we butchered by the Uganda Army?This calamity which befell us remains a mystery to our COMMUNITY.This was a Kenya issue,tribes ganging against each other.We as a particular community were butchered by our neighbouring country.Today we have so many mother less children and vulnerable children who are beyond our control.Due to lack of knowledge the community still practice early girl child marriage,wife inherittence and home cleansing ceremonies,this rituals are spreading sexual transmitted diseases including HIV/AIDS.When a husband dies it is a must that his brother has to inherit the wife,it doesnt matter as to what caused the death,this believes has made my province a HIV/AIDS Zone.This state of mind has brought poverty and poor living standard.This is what motivated me to volunteer my home to start a project for orphans by giving them a home which they lack and giving them early child Education.I saw that there was no way to help this situation except by giving Education to the children so that they may grow up with broad and enlightened future.I came with an idea of giving civic Education to the community on cruel tradition and culture beliefs,i have introduced to the widows in my group sustainability forums on food and health care.The Pulse wire web have made me strong and i have hope of getting more Education on how i can continue with my mission.My spirit will never go down as i know now that i have brothers and sisters who one day will come with a positive idea on a foward movement concerning this Mission .You can see what i am doing in-http//ketwangi wordpress.com.
