thank you

Thank you to the three of you who so nicely welcomed me to the pulse wire community, I was pretty suprised to have messages already, especially when I don't know anyone on worldpulse, it made my day.

It is sunny and beautiful late summer here in MN and I am spending it with my grandmother who is visiting from Germany. Today I showed her how I make plant medicine, we ate some soup and this afternoon I am going to help her wash her hair and put it in curlers. I feel so blessed to be able to spend loving time with her. Grandmothers are so important, I'll be excited when I look in the mirror and I am one myself.

Something I think about often is how separated we in \"western culture/civilization\" are from the earth and thereby ourselves. How deeply I desire to know the ancestral knowledge of where I come from; I crave my own indiginous culture. Yet when I ask my Omi, she doesn't have the answers, even though she is living on our indiginous land that our family has lived on for thousands of years she doesn't know. It reminds me that we are all a colonized people. And in the process many of us have forgotten who we are. I want to remember.
