Phoetry: Welcome to my exhibition of self

Anyone who knows half-well or better knows that I love two Ps - poetry and photography. Funnily enough I have never really thought about where and how they intersect... until last night when I had a massive brainwave! I decided to take different pictures of myself, alter them to create different effects and then write about what they invoked within me. This is what I came up with... Please ENJOY and let me know how you think this type of exercise could be used for different women in our BIG BEAUTIFUL WORLD. Oh, Worldpulse makes me happy :)))

I am conjoined,
Not deformed:
A binary of
possibilities,
Complementary
Not
Contradictory;
I am the voice
And the echo,
The question and
The questioned.

I am still waiting,
Are you still coming?
The sun has set
and I must turn my back
and continue on into the night -
Are you still coming?
