DIGITALLY EMPOWER THE WOMAN TO TRANSFORM THE NATION AND THE WORLD

Empowering the woman from any social and economic background is vital for the growth of the family, the home, the community, the nation and the world at large.Women play a very important role in society due to their persistent and hardworking characters.A woman is also a very quick and good learner and always wants to see positive results.Women are also very good fighters on what they put their heart to.

Thus digital empowerment will enhance women in their social and economic endeavors.The internet and mobile technology has greatly enhanced women's access to business tools and resources.It has enhanced marketing and networking.

In Zimbabwe the facebook platform is playing a very pivotal role in enhancing women in business.A lot of women have opened up social platforms for their goods and services and has made customers and service providers to meet on a digital platform.Information sharing has brought about tremendous changes in business development of women.We have networks such as She Means Business, Fashion and Life Style, St David's Girls High Reunion just to name a few.These women platforms are doing wonders.For example the St David's Girls High Reunion is a group of women who learned at St David's Girls High School in Mutare where we share and exchange ideas.We even contribute funds to help refurbish the school we learnt at and we help each other when one is travelling to other countries, we assist one other.This platform also shares issues that affect women such as children upbringing and legal issues.All this is because of digital empowerment that these things are happening.You learn what is happening in other parts of the world and you can transfer that to your own community and country.World Pulse has also helped me to learn about a lot of women issues happening around the world and how I can also bring about a change in my own country.

Digital empowerment is very vital for women.Information that only men could know about in the past, is now available to women through digital media.Women can now advocate for issues that affect them and discuss freely via social digital platforms and the internet.Issues of for example domestic violence are now freely talked about in most African countries through the power of digital empowerment.

In my case, I like the internet a lot for it always opens up economic opportunities for me to learn from.Two months ago when I was on the Internet , I came across Funds For NGOs and then I subscribed for their daily newsletter which they send you via email.In one of the Newsletters I came across a Women Economic Empowerment Workshop Scholarship that was being offered to go to Israel from 25th August to 11 September 2014 and meet with other women tom learn about Economic Empowerment of Women.I am glad to say that I applied for the scholarship and the workshop and I qualified for the scholarship and am already making preparations to go to Israel later this month.All this because of the Internet.Now I am going to learn a lot about Economic Empowerment of Women in various aspects which will help me so I can bring change in my nation of Zimbabwe and in the World at large.This workshop will be having women from different countries which will enable sharing of experiences and ideas on what other women are doing in their communities.

I encourage every woman to use the Internet wisely for the benefit of our families, communities and the nation and the world at large.Take out the positives that ditigal empowerment is offering for your economic growth and social growth and you will surely transform your nation and the world at large.
