A woman deserves a price, giving birth is ......

Maternal health is a huge problem in Africa, with 50 per cent of maternal deaths happening on the continent. African woman are a staggering 100 times more likely to die during childbirth than elsewhere, with around one and a half thousand of such cases every day.

One of the main causes for these tragic statistics is the lack of adequate facilities. Hospitals can be few and far between in some areas, and the hospitals there are often do not have enough trained midwives, meaning the care is not of the same standard expected elsewhere in the world. This is compounded by some of the best doctors moving to other countries where salaries are better. There is also a lack of up-to-date equipment and drugs. Many pregnant women are forced to walk many miles to a hospital, which contributes towards only 20 per cent of births taking place in hospitals.

Around 50 per cent of births happen at home, and unlike elsewhere these usually do not include the help of fully qualified midwives. As well as those outlined above, one reason for this is the cost.
Giving birth is a miracle, feeling that you carry someone growing inside makes a woman feel great.
African woman, will lift weight stuff, they will go undertake hard work and yet their babies are intact. That is just a miracle ,our government should put the maternity issue as a priority, to uplift the lives of all this women , who are mothers of great societies in which we live in.

Many women in Congo accept to give birth not because they want to, but because that the only they could save their marriages, or just have a new cloth, or even just to be treated as human been. I feel sorry for us women who have to undergo through all the pains of pregnancy just because its the only reason for you to have a cloth here in Bukavu they will buy for a woman a super wax.
Relationship in marriages are broken, and for women save their marriages , they will have to caary a baby inside the womb as a reason to regain husband's attention. I am sure what women are experiencing in this area is not human.

I refuse giving birth in worst condition for those reason, this the time you woman, who know your right ,to stand and start educating other who are ignorant on this matter. You have to go out there and should loud to inform some of us who don't know our right.
Millions of women die in the all world due to luck of knowledge

we are not birth machine
