Free style for more confidence: Web 2.0

When I started using internet I was just able to get into my inbox, send and check mails. Then I had an opportunity to have a link that I could use as web page, my first blog. Even attaching documents to my mails or uploading files on my blog was a great challenge not talking about the limits in accessing the net.
As I continued making my way through the web logy, I came across changes, improvement. I discovered Web 2.0. What I understand about it is the role of facilitating interactive information sharing, interoperability, user-centered design, and collaboration it convey. It is like the whole world functioning like a continent, reducing a full continent to country, bringing all together as if sitting in a small office, breaking all barriers.
Using Web 2.0 gives me the free choice to interact or collaborate with each other in a social media dialogue in a sort of virtual community.
It helped me improve my communication skills, gave me the opportunity to meet more people, to access a lot of information helping in bringing to action my true passion: empowering women.
It is sad to say it but most women, in my country are not really equipped or show less interest in computing not to even talk about browsing. But knowledge gives confidence and enlarges without fear and limits our vision.
I feel I have the whole world in one room listening to me whenever I log on my blog or comment or make a posting. I have been following last year Voices of our future, read so many of their stories that at times I felt myself involve in what they were relating or talking about. I really understood the power of words the first time a received a mail telling me 1000 persons have read a post on my blog. I felt: that is it. The message is reaching. And that is what I appreciate about interacting. This new way of communication is so well-working that you feel it is real.
It is allowing anybody, anywhere to share and place value upon their own opinions or interest about any subject and post any kind of content, regardless of their particular talents, knowledge, credentials, biases or possible hidden intentions. But this sort of “style free” access or posting is always demanding more work. Because you meet different people and intend to make yourself well understood, you need to improve your writing, the combination of ideas, the style, the words even the content of your post. It develops skills you never thought of.
It builds inner confidence, gives strength to push and talk. You don’t fear any threat or stop. And before you realize you can face any situation and talk for yourself, listen to others and contribute, and improve. And here we are given the opportunity. That is what women need to know and achieve.
