About Me: I am Somali woman who ran away from her country because of civil war. I hold B.A. degrees in Peace Studies and English from the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's. I am the former Director of Women's Health and Advancement Programs for Community Grassroots Solutions, an organization that provides training and education for immigrants and refugees.
I volunteer for so many organizations that assist immigrant and refuge families. I worked as a CPR and First Aid instructor at Saint Cloud Technical and Community College.
Now I am a graduate student at the Kroc Institute of International Peace Studies at the University of Notre Dame
