Te pido permiso para tutearte, ya que tu y yo somos de países tan cercanos físicamente y tan lejanos a la vez en cuanto al bienestar de sus gentes.

Te he seguido durante tu gobierno, y me he sentido orgullosa de tenerte en el país de al lado, dirigiendo el rumbo con pleno poder y legitimidad. Para mi tú eres una estrella, que debe guiar el accionar de futuras mandatarias en America Latina y el mundo.

Estoy feliz de que ahora estés guiándonos desde tu nueva posición en Naciones Unidas, ya que muchas cosas cambiaran de seguro. Una de ellas será la participación de nuestras hermanas en las Americas. Como sabes, mi país Bolivia es uno de los más atrasados del mundo en todo, pero especialmente en tecnología.

Mira la paradoja: las Bolivianas somos las estrellas en cuanto a lograr niveles de participación femenina en todo lo referido a política y gobierno, pero sin embargo somos las últimas en tener acceso a compartir estas experiencias con el mundo debido a nuestro atraso tecnológico. Tu sabes que en parte es porque no tenemos acceso al mar, en otra parte porque no tenemos gobiernos interesados en este tema y en otra gran e importante parte porque las organizaciones femeninas internacionales no nos dan cabida para comunicarnos a través de ellas.

Si querida Michelle. Cuando una mujer boliviana que no está vinculada a un partido político o a una organización sindical quiere hacer oir su voz en el contexto internacional, hay muy pocos canales que la reciben. Uno de ellos es worldpulse.com, a través de quienes te escribo hoy.

Ahora que tú sabes la brecha tecnológica que enfrentamos, yo se que no dudarás un momento en hacer que todas páginas web de Naciones Unidas tengan una plataforma de discusión directa de los planes y programas que nos diseñan desde allá, así como de los que ustedes solicitan desde acá. Eso quiere decir que habrá posibilidad de presentar proyectos y trabajos que serán valorados por la comunidad femenina americana en su totalidad desde las bases, ya no solamente desde arriba.

Yo creo que la tecnología debe convertirse en un derecho humano. Por tanto debe estar disponible, accesible, utilizable y tener estas tres dimensiones de manera estable. ¿Cómo nos ayudarás a que tengamos tecnología las mujeres de toda América, pero especialmente de América Latina? Está en tus manos hermosa Michelle!

Nosotras aquí te esperamos, te vitoreamos y te seguimos porque como nuestra líder. Sabemos que nunca traicionarás nuestra inmensa necesidad de comunicarnos con el mundo y hacerles saber que existimos.

I ask for permission to treat you informally, as we come from countries so close physically, and yet so far apart in terms of the wellbeing of their people.

I have followed you throughout your government time, and have felt proud to have you in the country next door, directing the path with full power and legitimacy. To me you are a star, that should guide the doings of future of women presidents in Latin America and the world.

I am happy that you are now guiding us through your new position in United Nations, as many things will surely change. One of them will be the participation of our sisters of the Americas. As you know, my country, Bolivia, is one that is most behind in everything compared to the world, but especially in technology.

Look at the paradox: Bolivian women are the stars in terms of achieving great levels of feminine participation in politics and governmental issues, and nevertheless we are the last to have access to share these experiences with the world due to our technological gap with the world.

You know that this is in part due to our lack of access to the ocean, in part because we have not had governments interested on this issue and in a big part because the international feminine organizations have not given us space for communicating our needs through them.

Yes my dear Michelle. When a Bolivian woman who is not part of a political party or a union organization wants to make her voice be heard in the international context, there are very few channels that will receive her. One of them is worldpulse.com, through which I am writing you today.

Now that you know about the technological gap we face, I know that you will not doubt to make all the web pages from the United Nations have a direct discussion platform about the plans and programs that are designed there, as well as the ones you call for from here. This means that there will be a possibility to present projects and works that will be valued by the American feminine community as a whole from the grassroots, and not only by the head leaders anymore.

I believe technology must become a human right. So it must be available, accessible, usable, and have these three dimensions in a stable manner. How will you help us women of the Americas, but especially the ones in Latin America, get a hold of technology? It is in your hands, beautiful Michelle!
