Ambassadors for World Pulse

Jade asked us to answer two questions, to be Ambassadors for World Pulse. What an honor to have the opportunity to be Ambassadors for this awesome community. Thanks Jade. Here are my answers.

1) What does World Pulse/ PulseWire mean to you?

I don´t believe in martyrdom of any kind. Women´s rights should not only be on paper, they should be exercised by women daily. For that, she needs to acknoledge her responsibility to make herself heard, she needs \"to get out of the closet\" without feeling she is being victimized. For this she needs to be strong, she needs to know that as hard as it may be, working on her relationships sometimes means leaving her partner, punching him/her back, or even calling the police ans asking the press to come. This is valiant. This is courage. This is a real woman. This is the real World Pulse woman we are all creating.

World Pulse then, means to me the Temple Of Freedom, where women come to learn how to get away from martyrdom and make their dreams come true, because here She is Listened to, very carefully.

2) What brought you to World Pulse? And what has been your experience on PulseWire?

I thought it would be fun to read what women of the world had to say, but then it became so, so much more.

Nothing is achieved through whining. We need to wipe off the tears and DO THE JOB. And jobs are called jobs because they are not easy, otherwise they would be called games. When we are busy teaching women their rights, teaching them how to cook meals that will strength them, how to raise their kids properly, how and when to call the police, and organizing marches to ask the police for safe streets, we forget what we were whining about in our small world.

We become leaders who don´t reapeat comunist or capitalist slogans. We become complete human beings, Women faithful to Women´s causes, Women who work for Women. Strong women make strong communities where females do not think of themselves as unworthy, or as sex toys (the easy life is the hardest one), as dependent on their husbands or partners, or as professionals who need to sleep with the boss in order to get a job.

This is the kind of job we should not be afraid of doing. This is what should keep us busy. Let us do the job. Let us wipe off the tears of us and of the women who surround us and help each other be strong. Only then, my friends, women´s rights will be more than just a paper.
