MERCHANDISE

Sitting and idling like a bore
Thinking of the things
I would sell for a profit
If only I was an Indian

I would sell clothes to wear
And a variety of consumables
Like cakes, sweets and lollipop
To gladden a sweet tooth anywhere

I would sell a piece of rope
Serving everyone and all
With baking powder and diapers
Safety pins, rat poison and soap

I would listen to all folklore
And try a hand in counselling
Freely offering my services
As a willing agony aunt
