These Women Murders Must Stop!

I might be an unapologetic youth activist, but i am also a woman! This post might be completely irrelevant to the nature of my work, but i am a fully fledged woman from my head to the sole of my feet. It is heart breaking to learn that in my locality, women have become a target for homicide. I am a born and raised resident of Kajjansi;an Entebbe surburb in Uganda and this place has rather become a slaughter house. As i write this, more than 21 women have been killed in a similar manner. Most of them have gotten their uteruspulled out and other body parts chopped off then theirbodies dumped in bushes by heartless murderers who are rumoured to be sellingbody organs outside to other countries that need them. This is outrageous!

Womenalong Entebbe road are living in fear for their lives and children. My soul is wounded, my heart is skipping. The government has tried deploying arms but this doesnt seem to work. Just a day ago, another woman was reported murdered not so far from my home.We are only trusting that the good Lord will stop these murders, restore all that is lost, and that we shall have smiles on out faces all over again.

I am kindly requesting this platform and every Ugandan to join us in prayer. You can alsofollow this campaign on twitter (#hope4ebbs) to help create awareness for security and being our sister's keepers.
