PulseWire Action Group Forms

In December, 2011 I responded to the request of a number of women who had taken my class "Women in the Global Community: A Spirituality of Empowerment". I had envisioned a group of women coming together with our laptops supporting each other as we joined PulseWire and took action together through projects described in the Action Center.

I posted an invitation for the "World Pulse Holiday Event" to my students and other women listservs in our area.
In early December a group of 11 women, with laptops in hand, gathered in a room at the Rogue Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. The energy was warm and joyful as women introduced themselves to one another and we shared a simple opening ritual with a chant song I wrote titled "Moving Between the Worlds". Women helped each other become members of PulseWire, write their first journal entries, and checked out the amazing projects in the Action Center. Toward the end of the two hour session we watched part of Jensine's 2009 presentation to the Bioneers Conference. Inspiring! Amazing!! Let's do this again! We closed our time together by reading together "The Soul of World Pulse" which each women received as a "gift" to take with her.

Next Wednesday, February 8 we will have our first 2012 PulseWire Action Group meeting. We plan to meet once a month for 2 hours. For this meeting half of the women were part of the December group and half will be new. Word is getting out about our group and I hope that we can grow this group and together expand and strengthen the PulseWire community. It is part of our vision to create local actions on behalf of women in our local community as well as our participation in PulseWire.

I would love to hear about any other women that are doing something like this or other projects involving PulseWire.

I am excited about starting the new year with this project as I continue to use World Pulse magazine in my class and
spread the word about our powerful Pulse Wire Community.
THIS IS THE PULSE THAT TRANSFORMS THE WORLD.
THIS IS WORLD PULSE.
