DISCRIMINATION AND VIOLENCE AGAINST THE WOMEN



The violence against the woman adopts diverse forms, included the violence in the home; the violations; the treats her as women and girls; the forced prostitution; the violence in situations of armed conflict, as the murders, the systematic violations, the sexual slavery and the forced pregnancy; the murders for reasons of honor; the violence because of the ability; the feminine infanticide and the prenatal selection of the sex of the fetus in favor of masculine babies; the genital feminine mutilation and other practices and harmful traditions.
The regional, national and world networks created by groups of women are growing in force and in impact. These networks, as the regional Network of the Pacific Ocean against the violence against the woman, the Women, the African Network for the Law and the Development, the Forum of Southern Asia against the persons' traffic and different many, has managed to play a role basically in the fight for arousing to the different communities and a positive change obtains those attitudes and practices related to the violence of kind. These networks have inspired a wide range of campaigns that have done of this topic a center of attention. In the 80s, the international Day against the violence against the woman was between the first organized campaigns and was celebrated every year on November 25 in the whole Latin America to honor the sisters Mirabel, three political murdered activists. In 1999, the United Nations joined the campaign designating on November 25 as the International Day of the Elimination of the Violence against the Woman. The campaign 16 Days of Activismo against the Violence of Kindis another symbol of the world movement of women and of the networks who look for the end of the violence of kind. It is coordinated for Centre for Women's Global Leadership works from November 25 until December 10 (Day of the Human rights). Involves to hundreds of organtations of the whole world in activities as programs in the means of information, manifestations, conferences, exhibitions and representations.ç



The violence against the woman is current, widespread, systemic and even authorized. The most important challenge continues being to happen from the conscience of which it is a question of a violation of the human rights and a crime to do of the violence of slightly unacceptable kind for the society and I contradict to his procedure. The governments, the ONGs, the civil society, the private sector and the international organizations must work together to face this challenge of competent form and to contribute the political will, the commitment and the value to eradicate this laceration of the human life.
