Vinculados por el medio ambiente

Si hablamos de medio ambiente es un tema que trasciende los límites de una nación ó territorio. De nada sirve realizar una acción en un lugar determinado sino pensamos que todos pertenecemos a una misma casa, nuestro planeta TIERRA. Si pensamos en trabajar por mitigar los efectos del cambio climático es necesario crear conciencia, y esto tiene éxito si todos nos unimos por la misma causa.
Una de las formas de poder unirnos en esta causa es a través de las nuevas tecnologías de la información y la comunicación, que nos permiten integrar redes y movimientos internacionales. Asi es que desde el año 2000 junto a jóvenes y adultos participo del programa ENO (Environment On Line) - ENO es una escuela virtual global y una red para el desarrollo sostenible, con sede en la ciudad de Joensuu, Finlandia. Su objetivo es el estudio de los temas ambientales durante el año escolar y se organizan campañas de forma simultánea en todo el mundo. Los objetivos de este programa también se encuentran relacionados a otros movimientos como; Plantar por el planeta, cuyo objetivo es promover la plantación de un millón de árboles por nación y el movimiento 350 que promueve acciones que concienticen sobre la disminución del CO2 en la atmósfera.
Todos estos movimientos incluyen mas de 200 países, crean una red que persigue a través de la educación el desarrollo sostenible ambiental, económico, social y cultural por el bienestar de hoy y de mañana. Gracias a los recursos de la web, conocí estos movimientos, y llevo adelante acciones y proyectos ambientales. Pero lo mas importante es haber compartido con mis alumnos la importancia de trabajar en conjunto por un mismo objetivo.

If we talk about the environment, it is a topic that transcends the limits of a nation or territory. It is not worth a thing to act in a determined location if we do not think that we all belong to the same home, our planet EARTH. If we think of working to mitigate the effects of climate changes it is necessary to create awareness, and this is successful if we all get together for the same cause.
One of the ways to get us together in this cause is through new information and communication technologies, which allows us to integrate webpages and international movements. It is so that since the year 2000 with teenagers and adults I participate in the ENO (Environment On-Line) program - ENO is a virtual global school and a webpage for the sustainable development, with headquarters in the city of Joensuu, Finland. Its objective is the study of the environmental topics during the school year and organizes campaigns in a simultaneous way in the entire world. The objectives of this program are also related to other movements such as; planting for the world, whose objective is to promote the plantation of a million trees per nation and the 350 movement that promotes actions that increases awareness in regards to the reduction of the CO2 in the atmosphere.
All of these movements include more than 200 countries; they create a web that pursues through education the development of a sustainable, economic, social and cultural environment for today and tomorrow’s well-being. Thanks to the web resources, I learned about these movements, and I pursue actions and environmental projects. But the most important is to have been able to share with my students the importance to work together for the same goal.
