\"I'm Muslim. I'm Sudanese and I'll not put my Headscarf on\"
Those words by Amira Osman; a Sudanese engineer and member of No To Women Oppression Coalition has led her to be prosecuted under article 152 of the criminal code which is \"indecent dress code\". If she found to be guilty she will be punished by flogging, paying a fine or facing imprisonment. her first trial was on 1/9/2013 and she is now waiting for the attorney general decision on the implementation of article 152 according to the request from her defense committee. Every year, thousands of Sudanese women are prosecuted for wearing indecent clothes. Amira chose to speak out and stand against those violations that aim to oppress and humiliate Sudanese women.
