Division and censoreship / División y censura

Hello again, everybody!

Thank you so much for the comments in my previous posts. It's such a good feeling reading you! I want to send you a greeting and apologize for not replying in time. I'm living sad and confusing times (and I`m going to tell you why).

Last month, the Government of Spain passed a new law that will limitate our freedom of expresion and the expansion of culture an information on Internet. Due to the new law, effective January 1, 2015 we cannot include quotes or links in our posts, because we could be fined up to 600,000 € (yes, that's ok: six hundred thousand euros).

The Government added the Canon AEDE Reform LPI late without notifying other agencies (such as the General Council of the Judiciary) or the European Union itself. (Genbeta)

This new demonstration of the transformation of our society arrived when tempers are twitching because of those who are trying to divide and destroy the society. Their dream is to destroy everything then become masters of remaining debris and transform them at will into their 'new' reality. Their populist discourse has penetrated deep into the minds and hearts of the most desperate and disappointed by the system, which are becoming fanatical followers of these new Pied Pipers. People need to believe that not everything is definitively lost. We want to have someone to trust in, and we are looking for that "honest, courageous and sensible savior". And, of course, candidates are emergin... but some of them are radicals who advocate the use of violence.

And, again, there am I, in the middle of the hurracain. I still believe in the possibility of a society free from all forms of violence. And, again, I'm being misunderstood. But that's not what worry me the most; the worst thing abut it, for me, is that some women who survived gender violence are, now, exerting violence (verbal and psychological violence, by now), to attack anyone who doesn't match their political ideology. Each time I read or listen to any of them, I think: "What!". I cannot understand it. Perhaps, I should think that they have not reached the limit of bearable violence in their lives. I did. I do not want to have to endure even one more second of violence. I never want to be the target of violent nor have them near around never more. And now, I've discovered that I was wrong when I thought that those women were just so tired as I am.

The economic crisis is fueling inequality, that makes the disadvantaged do not want to condone the abuses of the powerful, which, in turn, results in changes in the positions of citizens from political parties, as the discontent, anger, and hate speech are sprouting in every corner. And, in a few weeks, "thanks" to the new law, lots of us won't be able to write about any item with the same freedom we're doing it now. So, what's the future? I want to keep the faith, but...

¡Hola a tod@s, otra vez!

No puedo entenderlo.
