BACK TO SCHOOL BUNDLE DISTRIBUTION WITH RURAL GIRLS IN BALI SUBDIVISION

Thank God September 17th 2016 has come and gone with so many beautiful memories. This day was remarkable in the following ways:
-86 rural girls attended the event at Comagend head office in Ntaofang.
- They had a motivational talk from sharing the life experience of a now successful rural girl of a very humble background, career orientation, personal hygiene, goal setting as well as designing their goal for 2016/2017 academic year
-The bundles consisting of pants vests, toothbrush and washing powder were then distributed.

Though successful, the targeted number of girls 120 was not met. Secondly most parents still need a lot of sensitisation on letting their children participate in such activities since they believe it is a waste of time. Finally the event was carrying out during the farming period on Saturday which is the day girls have to go help their parents in the farm.

We intend to include parents in the back to school bundle next year by holding a sensitisation meeting. We equally hope to help some of the girls within this academic year learn little self sustaining activities to help them provide items they need.
