Essential Duties for Listeners

What exactly will you be doing as a Listener? What do we expect you to complete each week? Here are the answers you've been waiting for!

• Review the VOF assignment for the week. Find out what the Applicants are working on and the criteria for successful completion of the assignment. To find this, go to their group journal page at: http://www.worldpulse.com/pulsewire/groups/3740/journal


• Receive your list of Applicants to review for the week on Wednesday. We will divide the Applicants pool among the Listeners pool and give each of you a set of particular people to review. We will give you direct links to their Profile, so there should be no guesswork involved.


• Read each assignment for each of the applicants you have been given. Take note of assigned guidelines and if they have met them.


• Observe the activity of each applicant you've been assigned. Find other posts they've made by going to their Profile page. Are they doing more than is assigned each week?


• Fill-out the online form for each applicant you've been assigned to review. This is our crucial data step and will be used to compile the list of finalists. I will provide a link to that form and a helpful review soon.


• Post a comment on each Applicant's journal assignment. This is a crucial step, because it allows the Applicant to know they've been listened to. For this reason, everyone in the Listeners group will need to have a PulseWire account. The comment should follow a simple format of two statements: This is what I loved about your entry; This is what I would have liked to have seen. This is the place to let them know if they missed a piece of the assignment criteria, or if their voice is powerful and visionary, or both! You are welcome to share your voice and express your thoughts here, but at the very least, clearly state those two items.
