• Emily!

You may have seen or heard from a new face recently. Maybe she asked you to apply to become a VOF Listener or Editorial Midwife for this year's program? Or, maybe you remember her as a Listener from the very first VOF program?

If you haven't yet had a chance to meet her, I would like to introduce Emily Garcia, our amazing program volunteer! Emily has volunteered for World Pulse off and on since 2009 (as a Listener, supporting the Arts department of our magazine, and more). She recently returned from a year of studying in Germany, South Africa and India, and is currently working on finishing her Master's thesis project in Women and the Media.

Emily brings her enthusiasm and glowing positive attitude to our offices, and to PulseWire, to support this year's program and ensure success on all fronts. She is a champion for women's voices and visions, and is thrilled to be here in connection with all of you.

So, add her as a friend, send her an encouraging note, or just join me in saying "Thank you so much Emily!"

Kind regards, Scott

Dear Scott,

Thank you for this wonderful introduction and your encouraging praise! I am so happy to be back here at World Pulse and am thrilled to be a part of the VOF program.

Even in the brief conversations I've had so far with VOF volunteers and correspondents, I can feel the energy and excitement that VOF has inspired in them. I truly feel honored to offer this program support in any way I can.

So, hello everyone and thank you for your support and for taking part in this outstanding endeavour!

From my heart, Emily

Thanks, Scott, for introducing us to another amazing WP volunteer!

I hope to have a chance to enjoy exchanges with you at Pulsewire very soon. Thanks so much and all the best.

Thank you so much Emily, offering your whole being (eyes, ears, mouth, hands,nose...) for this great program! I will find time to follow your footsteps and learn more from you. Despite my scarcity in the internet due to lots of work in the rural communities, I am returning home slowly. Thank you for this lovely introduction Scott. Together we will do more.
