The female ambassadors for peace took to their field work as usual on Sunday 12th October 2014 at Mumusho, undertaking activities with various objectives such as: -raising awareness about UN resolutions 1325 and 1820 through the use of theatre -adult literacy training -education on sexuality We had planned to do the work over six months and the 12th Oct was our third session, this time the theme was ‘inheritance’. Before putting on our theatre presentation we first proceeded with the adult literacy training; teaching two groups: one group of people who do not know how to read or write and the other group of people who do know how to read and write who had taught the others in our absence. After we finished our theatre presentation, the women were interested to know about girls rights to inherit their parents belongings. Previously, here in the Congo they were considered as things, but today we are trying to combat this ignorance. That is why we say thank you to our partners and continue to help women in my country, thank you and you are welcome to visit us here.

Edith
