My vision for women empowerment

As a radio journalist in a community based radio station iam highly placed to do much in terms of creating awareness on various issues affecting women within and around the globe.

Many girls in my community have no access to education due to various reasons that i highlighted in week three assignment. Am one person who does things that make impact and bring change in other peoples lives.

I therefore vision to partner with local organizations and community leaders to work with girls, their families and their communities to promote the importance of girls education, help families work through the obstacles that keep their daughters from going to school and assist teachers, families and community members in promoting and supporting girls education at all levels.
By so doing, the girl child will be empowered in that most them will not end up just as housewives but working women who have a say in society.

I want to be a correspondent for the voices of our future for various reasons and my vision depends on being part of this great network.
For my vision to be realized, i need to deepen my understanding of world affairs and status of women's issues across the world. This can only be possible if iam part of this dynamic network as a correspondent. I will be able to interact with women around the globe and exchange ideas on how to go about projects related to women issues in our communities.
By being a correspondent, i have opportunities for publication of my community issues through world pulse and partner media organizations.
Other reasons are as follows:
a) I will have access to an editorial mentor to help hone my unique voice.
b) I will have access to personal mentoring sessions and support from a vision mentor.
c) I will have opportunities to connect with grass root women leaders from around the globe.
d) Will have increased visibility for issues and challenges faced by me and my community.
e) Being connected to this amazing and dynamic group of women, world pulse staff, mentor and editor will give me a sense of purpose, direction and drive.

Voices of our future has allowed me to give myself a chance to speak out and am so grateful.
