Story
Young people want to be heard.
I've a nice, she turned nine the other day. Her name is Ruhama. She came to visit us six years ago. You what she said, just in the middle of her conversation? "Children should be respected."
We all laughed in unison, but I continue the conversation. I really enjoy chatting children with their own level of speech. I don't remember who upset her by then. " Yes, they should be respected. ----" I said. She spoke to me like a grown up, I never replied to her..it's a kid's idea...go away or such things like that.
She want to sit on a big coach, and cover herself with a kerchief or less...watch cartoons. Last month, we visited one Italian Designer in our area. She liked his house. He was leaving. "Let's buy his house. Ask Claudio to sale it for us. If he doesn't want to sale it, tell'm to rent it for us." Said Ruhama.
I said; " OK. How much should we give'em if he sail it for us?''
" Five hundred birr."
"If he rent us, how much should we propose?"
"1000 birr." said Ruhama. After a minute, she did her calculations. " We'll pay him 5000 birr, if he sell it for us."
I wish, that was the price for the two story beautiful house with 2000 sq mr compound with a beautiful garden and trees!!!
I opened my bag and show her the money I've. She was proud of me. I promised her to buy it. I should buy it. Loool
Our price is same as New York.
My other niece Hermella, is in her mid-twenties. She is a woman activist. She earned her Ba Degree in pharmacy, and her Ma...I don't know...
She is a poet, published Author. (Hermy Writes- FB name) she does a lot of campaign around the city and in other countries. She travels to Khartoum, Nairobi, London...etc.
She is busy in the social medias to create awareness. Last March, when we had the World Pulse Weave, she came with her three girlfriends. All of them were feminists. One was architect, ...they are university graduates. Her friend is doing her campaign on FB. She is teaching everyone to use Fb to promote themselves instead of posting their new pictures.
I'm a youth Teacher at the Youth Bible Study. I teach young girls, 13-19 ages. Anytime we meet, I see some of them touching their phones. I keep saying use the internet to use the best of it.
I wrote a book; " My Online Dates" to keep the youth safe. It's a young adult book. There are a lot of dangerous people youth can meet on social media. I wrote it to protect them. I want everybody to be safe around the social media.

last time, I introduced world pulse to 16 woman when i was waiting for one office to open.
One of the lady from Australia, just a lady I contact; "SHE SENT ME A MESSAGE ON FB.
She is a HR director of a big hotel in Sydney. She send me the job opportunity and asked me to send my CV. I sent my CV last week. They got back to me in hours. They send me a work agreement form, the vacancy list…etc.
I signed the agreement and sent it today. I was sick last week. I forward the info to all the trustworthy fresh graduates who worked under my supervision for 6 month, year and two years. They are all applying happily. (2 vacancies for foreign citizens, no criminal record).***
Is not, that so nice?
She gave me the Hotel desk’s number to call and confirm.
When you’re good, open minded, and like to give and share, all the good people, good opportunities come to you.
When I was a teenager, My late Brother Architect Solomon or Hermella’s Father hanged a poster in our sitting room.
“ Give to the world the best you have
The best will come back to you.”
That’s always true. Our parents taught us to give food, clothing, money…to anyone who came across with them. We are keeping the family tradition.
